
Ulleskelf J.F.C – Competition Rules

Each club may nominate a maximum of 3 additional players to the number of players required for that age group; their age must have been under their respective age group on 31st August 2024. No player may be named for more than one team. Any team found to be playing an ineligible player shall be barred from the rest of the tournament.

Team registration forms must be given to the competition secretary 15 minutes prior to commencement of the first game.

Each team, at the discretion of the referee, will be allowed to make Roll on, Roll Off substitutions during any convenient interlude in the game.

In the event of a colour clash the team named alphabetically first will change.

If a team fails to turn up at the appointed time or place for a match, the referee will award the fixture to the opposing team by a score of 2-0.

The duration of each match shall be two equal halves of:
5 minutes with an interval of two minutes maximum = Under 7s & 8s
6 minutes with an interval of two minutes maximum = All other age groups.

The duration of the final shall be 8 minutes each way with an interval of 3 minutes maximum.

The competition shall be played on a league basis. Final group positions shall be decided on points, with three points for a win and one for a draw. If there is a tie on points, goal difference will decide, but if still level, the side scoring the greatest number of goals will qualify. Where goal difference is equal in every respect then the team winning the respective league fixture between the clubs will qualify. In the event of all these points being equal the matter will be decided by a penalty competition.

In the event of a penalty competition being required each team will nominate 5 players from those still involved in play at the end of the match to take penalties on a rotation basis. If the teams are still level at this stage, the penalties will continue on a sudden death basis.
Only the players involved, their manager and the referee are allowed on the pitch during these proceedings, all players except the two goalkeepers and the player taking the penalty must remain in the centre of the pitch during these proceedings.

In the Finals, semi finals and quarter finals, drawn matches will go to four minutes one way of extra time on Golden Goal basis. If at the end of this period the scores are unchanged a penalty competition will take place in accordance with rule 9.

The laws of the game of Association Football shall apply with the exception of Law 1 (the field of play), 3 (number of players), 7 (duration of the game), 11 (offside).

The game will commence and restart after a goal with a kick-off at the centre of the playing area.

The Following additional rules will also apply:-
â—˜ The goalkeeper may during normal play either:-
1) kick or throw the ball out – Under 7s, 8s,9s and 10s
2) Throw the ball out – Under 11s,12s,and 13s
â—˜ Goal kicks must be kicked from the ground for all age groups. The opposing team must
retreat to the half way line for under 7s,8s,9s & 10s
â—˜ The goalkeeper is permitted to handle the ball from a back pass for the under 7s & 8s
but the FA back pass rule applies to all other age groups.
â—˜ All free kicks are direct, except after a back pass which will result in an in-direct
free kick from outside the penalty area.
â—˜ At the restart of play from corners, free kicks or kick-off defending
players must be three (3) metres from the ball (under 7 & 8 which will be 1.5 meters).
â—˜ Any player sent off either during or between games will take no
further part in the tournament.
â—˜ Spectators are not permitted to stand directly to the rear / either side
of the goal or within the roped off areas of the pitches. These areas
are for Club coaches and substitutes.

The organisers accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury incurred by players, officials or spectators during the event.

All vehicles are parked at owner’s risk.

Each team coach will be held responsible for the conduct of their team, club officials and its supporters. Conduct by either their team, club official or supporters, which is deemed unruly by the Organising Officials, will prejudice that teams continuation in the tournament.

Please remember – All match officials are VOLUNTEERS – Please treat with appropriate respect.

Medals will be presented to all participants in the Under 7s & 8s age group after the teams final fixture.

For all other age groups trophies will be presented to the winning teams with mementos for individual players reaching the final. Winning teams will receive a trophy to take away.

In the event of any dispute the organising official’s word is final
